Telefunken mini Partner 201 AM/FM Transistor Radio

This AM/FM transistor radio was manufactured by Telefunken Deutschland (Gesellschaft für drahtlose Telegraphie Telefunken mbH) between 1973 and 1978.
It features 10 transistors and operates using a superheterodyne circuit with intermediate frequencies of 460 kHz (AM) and 10.7 MHz (FM). The radio is powered by four 1.5V batteries.

Its dimensions are 70 x 120 x 40 mm (W x H x D), or approximately 2.8" x 4.7" x 1.6", and it weighs xxx g (xxx oz) with batteries installed.

Interesting tidbit: The FM tuner only goes up to 107 MHz, so stations broadcasting above that frequency cannot be received. In Germany, the standard FM frequency range is 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz.

If memory serves me correctly, this was one of the first portable radios I owned as a kid. I distinctly remember having this Telefunken model in black, just like the one pictured below.

The radio still functions very well. However, I plan to check all the electrolytic capacitors and test their condition. If necessary, I’ll replace any that are out of spec.
